TikTok Algorithm
TikTok’s algorithm works a little differently , re-watchability is the name of the game. If people keep watching your video over and over again, TikTok will start showing it to more people. It also looks at how fast your video gets likes, comments, and shares after it’s posted. So, if you post something and it quickly gets a lot of attention, TikTok’s going to push it out to a bigger audience. The key here is authentic, creative content ,TikTok loves when you’re real and fun. It also loves trends, challenges, and relatable moments, especially ones that make people feel something or laugh. If your video encourages people to share it, watch it multiple times, or even do a duet with it, that’s a major win.

YouTube Algorithm
YouTube is all about watch time, which is basically how long people stick around to watch your video. If someone starts your video and keeps watching it to the end, YouTube sees that as a win and will push your video to more people. Click-through rate (CTR) is also a big deal here. That’s just how many people click on your video when they see the thumbnail (the little picture for your video) and title. If lots of people click and keep watching, YouTube will recommend your video to more folks. So, the trick is making your thumbnail and title super eye-catching and creating content that keeps people watching until the end!

Instagram Algorithm
On Instagram, the algorithm loves engagement, so the more likes, comments, saves, and shares your post gets, the better. If your post gets a ton of interaction really quickly after you post it, Instagram is going to think it’s popular and push it out to more people. One of the best ways to get noticed is through Reels. Instagram really wants Reels to succeed, so they show them to a bigger audience. If you get a lot of engagement on a Reel, it can spread to more people than a regular post. Instagram also pays attention to who you interact with most, so if you engage with certain accounts a lot, their content is more likely to pop up in your feed.

Alright, if you want to go viral, you gotta have a plan for the algorithm. First thing’s first, know your audience. What do they like? What makes them laugh? On YouTube, try making videos that people can’t stop watching. think tutorials, funny challenges, or anything that’s both informative and interesting. Basically, don’t bore them. On Instagram, focus on Reels that make people want to hit that like button, share their thoughts, or even send it to their friends. Be clever with your captions and try to get them to engage, save, share, comment, whatever! On TikTok, keep it fast, fun, and relatable. People scroll like they’re on a mission, so grab them right away or they’ll just keep going. Use trends, music, and make your own challenge if you’ve got the creativity for it. And the biggest secret? Consistency! Post regularly, interact with your audience, and pay attention to what’s getting the best reactions. There are lot’s of ways to do this, We have monthly plans also on our services page, don’t be afraid to experiment . The more you experiment, the more you’ll figure out what gets people talking. Keep having fun with it, and before you know it, your content could be the next big thing!

To wrap it up, understanding how social media algorithms work is key to getting your content in front of more people. These platforms are always tweaking their algorithms to keep users hooked, and as creators, we need to know how to play the game. Whether it’s prioritizing engagement on TikTok, watch time on YouTube, or shareable content on Instagram, the better we understand these systems, the better we can use them to our advantage. So, next time you post, think about what the algorithm loves and how you can create content that hits all the right notes. It’s all about working with the algorithm, not against it! this is just one blog of a 4 part series I am doing a cluster topic on psychology and how it affects us in our demographic and how it does and hopefully everyday even at expert levels we can learn from each other.
